Time for a change of plan

Five straight losing weeks in poker hasn't happened in quite sometime, it's been at least a year anyway. I think I lost about $40k over the 5 weeks, which isn't really that bad and if I could have engineered a dogging or two in London, it could have been a different story - but we are where we are.

I feel some impatience and ill-discipline creeping into my game. Like last week I jumped into a 50/100 game and I've been betting more than I usually do on the sports betting. These are two things that you shouldn't be doing when you're running/playing bad.

Taking this into account I cleared all my online accounts leaving just $10k online. I have a 6 seater TV thing on this Friday, so I'm just going to grind 6 seater SNGs for the week in preparation for that.

Grinding SNGs is a pretty dull existence but thankfully I have loads of none poker related activities on this week, so I shouldn't be able to put in to many hours. First losing week in ages in the sports betting lost €4,500 but I'm going to take a week off that as well. When you're losing there a tendency to start chasing which is basically the worst thing you can do in gambling. So just going to take a week off clear the head of any thoughts of chasing. I'm sure not having a bet for a week won't kill me.
