Played really well in the $5k WSOP circuit in Caesars but got no breaks and exited 36th with 18 for the money.

I'm not a big one for fantasy teams/leagues but I always look forward to this time of year when a lot of poker sites offer prizes for punters who can predict bracelet winners.

Well, finished up 6th, shoved the old 63 off - pretty standard stuff. I was a little disappointed after the exit but by no means gutted.

... but fuck me, I still love it! I'm back in Vancouver after another unsuccessful visit to Nevada. I think I've a grand total of 20 tourneys in Vegas without a cash now, which is quite impressive.

Firstly, huge kudos to John on his magnificent run at the WPT Championship. I know John will be gutted, but he can take great pride from such a brilliant performance.

Went from chip leader to smallest stack over the course of the nine hours we played yesterday, but I survived I suppose.

Had a really good day yesterday. Went from short stack to chip leader with 10 left. Not going to mention anything about the poker, as some of my opponents have been keeping on an eye on the Boylepoker blog.

Boylepoker.com today announces the return of Europe's largest live no-limit Texas hold'em poker tournament, the International Poker Open 2010.

Avec un prize pool estimé de 250,000€, dont 20,000€ ajoutés par le sponsor et les « VIP starting chips » supplémentaires, l'International Poker Open va placer la barre encore plus haut, en Octobre prochain.

I cashed in the WPT, what a bubble to dodge. $47K in the bag, considering I am in for $2,500 that's a healthy profit.

Back for day four of the WPT and still a long way away from the cash. 18 get paid and there are 35 left. I am sitting on
308,500 chips with the blinds at 4k/8k and 1k ante.

Things are coming off the hinges a little over here, from being $50k ahead after six days, we've dropped back about $30k. We both played the $5k NLH and again the standard was sooooooo bad.

It got a bit messy for me on Saturday night after watching the boxing with my mate Jez. I had a few beers with Nicky, a few other guys who were out, Marty and "the little fella", and also John Weafer whom I had met at the BOSP final.

Wow - so that was my first Irish Open - what an experience!!

Just exited my fourth tournament of the trip. I'm playing pretty well, but just keep taking the beats in my tournament life.

So I decided to put off returning to Vancouver for another week or so. There were a number of reasons for this, the main one being I was still hung over on Tuesday night after the IO weekend.

I headed to the Burlington Thursday evening, full of the hope that the poker gods would shine on me and my name would be on the trophy come Monday evening. I'll be back next year with the same optimism.

Since my last blog I've been pretty busy with playing the Irish Open, getting drunk, getting handcuffed to a dwarf, and getting married. In that order.

Well, it's been a week since the FT of the Irish Open and I'm still thinking about what could have been. Getting to the final table of the biggest tourney in Ireland is obviously an achievement in itself and obv I would have been delighted with that at the start of the week, but I'm still pretty gutted about the way I went out.

Arrived in Vegas yesterday and loving being back. The weather is perfect this time of year.

Multi... Multi... Multi... Multiplier!!! First off a huge well done to Peter "The Multiplier" Murphy who ft'd the Irish Open Main Event, and was sick unlucky not to go deeper.

Well true to form it was another disappointing Irish Open for me, actually the worst one ever.

Well, it's Irish Open week. Played the satty in the Sporting Eporium, lost a flick and I was on my bicycle.

What's all this vote for Marty malarkey about then?
