It was another near miss for me this weekend, I grinded pretty hard on Sunday with no luck.
I've fairly radically changed my life, for the better in the long term but probably for the worse short term and the entertainment level of this blog has definitely been affected!

I'm going to be very original and call this blog 'back to work'. I guess it's aptly named as I've done fuck all over the Christmas period but that was to be expected.

I've played a bit since my last blog, nothing compared to what I had planned to but sure that's standard!

November is finally here! I'm off tomorrow to Vegas to cheer on the Captain O'Dea! It's kind of surreal to have one of my mates on the WSOP final table; it's such a huge achievement whatever the outcome! But with him coming second in chips there's a great chance it could be the shiny bracelet on his arm come Tuesday night!

I've been playing quite a bit lately without much joy but I've been playing good so I think it's time to put in some decent hours! I've got a sweet holiday/dreamy rail in Vegas lined up at the end of the month. So it would be nice to have earned it! I've been mainly playing tournaments but think I'm gonna get back playing some cash too.

The last while has consisted of bad days and good days, unfortunately the good days were generally the non poker playing ones! I'm a man who prefers the bad news first so i'll get the poker chat out of the way first!

I had my first live cash in about 20 tournaments in the UKIPT, unfortunately it was of the min variety. I played day one on Thursday, mainly because I like to have my weekend free when I bust on day one.

I've been playing quite a bit online the last few weeks with a bit of success.

That's how a drunken Skandi described looking for the toilets! To be fair to him he was right, it was a fucking maze.

The Five-A-Side competition kicked off with a bang this week! Our team, (or unfortunately I should probably say John's team) has almost certainly won the team of the week and I managed to scoop the MVP award.

Well JP's didn't quiet go to plan, and I busted near the end of Day 1.

At about 3am on Sunday night, (or Monday morning for nerds, Monday starts when you wake IMO, but that's a different topic), I was cruising in the Party Poker million and the Boylepoker 200k gtd.

Well, the Irish Open has once again come and gone with no success for me. Firstly a big well done to Seamus and Niall Smyth who won the lot! I've played a lot of poker over the years with Seamus and he's a top class player, so nice to see one of the good guys get an FT.

With the Irish Open only round the corner, it's time to get back grinding hard. I had a great week with my brother being in town, but didn't get much poker played. So, it's time to get in some hours.

I woke up on a Tuesday morning a couple weeks ago and counted up that I'd been on the piss 20 days out of 26. Soo I thought it was time for a detox.

It's been ages since I've blogged, mainly because I've been playing fuck all poker.

Poker has been going 'meh' for me over the last while. I'd been treading water/losing for a while in $5/$10 and $10/$20 PLO games, so when I recently busted my account I said, it's time to drop down.

Well it's the New Year and as always it's a bit of a review type time in life.

I've played quite a bit since my last blog. Haven't really put in a huge amount of hands but I've been at my computer checking the lobbies and jumping in when the games are good.

I made the trek to Galway through the snow, despite saying all week that unless it cleared up, I probably wouldn't bother.

Poker has gone from bad to worse for me and this is now my worst down-swing ever.

Well, I had my worst week ever last week, and unlike Johnny's get out tricks, mine's gone the other way.
