The Friday after my last blog was one of the worst days of my life, well on paper anyway. I had my worst day of poker ever, dropping about $17k.
I've had a nice week of poker, with last Friday being the highlight when I scooped about $10k. It was like the old days on Boylepoker, with a good few $5-10 and $10-20 PLO games running and plenty of fishys about.

Well, I'm in the airport heading back to Vancouver after a great week in California. It seems like déjà vu, as I write this blog in the airport because I've been doing it so many times this year.

Well, I've finally left Vegas. It's the same every year, after I bust the Main I just want out.

I've been in Vegas for nearly a month now and I've had a total of zero cashes. Basically, I've bricked enough tourneys to build this Vegas mansion that we're living in.

Been in Vegas for nearly two weeks now and have settled in nicely, and after a few loose nights out, it's down to business. The house makes such a difference for your overall sanity. It's nice to have the option to chill out away from the madness of Vegas in between the clown shows that are the WSOP tourneys.

The WSOP kicked off for me yesterday with the $1k NLH event. I just got a brief taste of it though, as I only lasted a total of four hands. I 'squeezed' the button with the King balls and was 4-bet by the original raiser.

I haven't been up to a huge amount lately, been grinding online quite a bit with bad results unfortunately. Still running pretty bad, but at least I feel I'm playing well, so it will turn soon enough I'm sure.

I've been scooping hard all week, unfortunately it's not been of the alcoholic variety but of the Pokerstars Spring Championship variety.

... but fuck me, I still love it! I'm back in Vancouver after another unsuccessful visit to Nevada. I think I've a grand total of 20 tourneys in Vegas without a cash now, which is quite impressive.

So I decided to put off returning to Vancouver for another week or so. There were a number of reasons for this, the main one being I was still hung over on Tuesday night after the IO weekend.

Multi... Multi... Multi... Multiplier!!! First off a huge well done to Peter "The Multiplier" Murphy who ft'd the Irish Open Main Event, and was sick unlucky not to go deeper.

Well, it's Easter time and when the normys are enjoying the long weekend, while pretending that they are somewhat religious, the poker creeps are foaming at the mouth with the Irish Open kicking off.

Well I've certainly had worse weekends, ended up finishing in third place at the Euro City Poker Tour Barcelona for a tasty 65k.

Funny ol' game this poker malarky, couldn't win a hand in February then March rolls round and I pretty much haven't lost one. I ran scary good the last week or so and won back most of the losses of February, so happy days. Or as John O'Shea put it "you're on the 'March' ". A very appropriate title imo.

Well thank fuck February is over, I couldn't win a pot to save my life. As a result, it ended up being my worst month ever. Although I think I'm playing really well the last week-ish, so I'll just have to ride it out I reckon.

Well, I've had a nightmare down-swing over the last week or two, the last week in particular. I ran so badly, it seemed like I was dealt the second best hand for the whole week.

This week I scooped a package to the North American Poker Tour in the Venetian. It was great to win, as I was planning on going to the NAPT but it's never nice putting up a $5k buy-in!

Shipped the High Roller $500 on Boylepoker.com the other night for a juicy $13k. Delighted to get the title; I was just saying last week how long it had been since I won a tournament, so I was more than happy to take her home.

Made it back 'home' to Vancouver, although I'm really not sure if it feels like home. God knows it really doesn't feel like a holiday either, sure who fucking cares anyway!

Ran pretty awful in the $5k PLO which was a pretty steep buy-in but the standard was very soft, so was a pity I couldn't get going. The most horrific was the tag team I played with Tony Rafter.

Well that's the slogan for the Caribbean anyway but I'd have to disagree with it, as there wasn't anything easygoing about my week at the PCA in the Bahamas. Unfortunately, the reputation that the locals are easygoing is seriously wrong!

Well, I had a great Christmas in New York and an unreal New Year's Eve in Vegas. I fall in love with NYC every time I go - there's just something about that place. I guess I'll be using the auld, 'What happens in Vegas...' line.
