Funny ol' game this poker malarky, couldn't win a hand in February then March rolls round and I pretty much haven't lost one. I ran scary good the last week or so and won back most of the losses of February, so happy days. Or as John O'Shea put it "you're on the 'March' ". A very appropriate title imo.
Well thank fuck February is over, I couldn't win a pot to save my life. As a result, it ended up being my worst month ever. Although I think I'm playing really well the last week-ish, so I'll just have to ride it out I reckon.

Well, I've had a nightmare down-swing over the last week or two, the last week in particular. I ran so badly, it seemed like I was dealt the second best hand for the whole week.

This week I scooped a package to the North American Poker Tour in the Venetian. It was great to win, as I was planning on going to the NAPT but it's never nice putting up a $5k buy-in!

Shipped the High Roller $500 on Boylepoker.com the other night for a juicy $13k. Delighted to get the title; I was just saying last week how long it had been since I won a tournament, so I was more than happy to take her home.

Made it back 'home' to Vancouver, although I'm really not sure if it feels like home. God knows it really doesn't feel like a holiday either, sure who fucking cares anyway!

Ran pretty awful in the $5k PLO which was a pretty steep buy-in but the standard was very soft, so was a pity I couldn't get going. The most horrific was the tag team I played with Tony Rafter.

Well that's the slogan for the Caribbean anyway but I'd have to disagree with it, as there wasn't anything easygoing about my week at the PCA in the Bahamas. Unfortunately, the reputation that the locals are easygoing is seriously wrong!

Well, I had a great Christmas in New York and an unreal New Year's Eve in Vegas. I fall in love with NYC every time I go - there's just something about that place. I guess I'll be using the auld, 'What happens in Vegas...' line.

Just got into NYC for Christmas, spending it here with my bro and family so it should be a nice wholesome time. Then Vegas for some debauchery for the New Year, there are nine of us going, it'll be some laugh.

It was a fairly uneventful week for me last week. I was pretty sick and hence didn't do much. I was supposed to go away with some friends to Portland for the weekend but I still felt like shit so decided against it.

I had a great week poker wise and managed to cash in on two ECOOP events. The highlight was my second place finish in the 1k PLO for 31k. Unfortunately I couldn't get the title and the extra 20k for first.

God, poker's really taking the piss out of me over the last few days. So I'm just going to have a rant for a few lines, I probably wouldn't read it, if I were you!

Well, with my internet in bits I took it fairly handy in the poker this week. So that led to some nice boozing.....

I moved on Saturday into a pretty sweet house a bit out of the downtown area (that would be the "city centre" for the less travelled) but only 5 mins on the train, so it's pretty much exactly what we were looking for.

Well, I had one shift this month, a $500 tournament on Saturday at the scary early hour of 12 noon. With it being a bank holiday at home and my mates all getting jobs this week, we decided that was enough of an excuse to do a triple header.

Well I've made my way to Vancouver for a year, via a few crazy weeks in South America, which will not be documented in detail here. So I thought I'd get an ol' blog going to keep in touch and to keep myself in touch too, as it's the first time I'll be playing poker full time.
