I played my last tournament on behave of the BOSP II promotion last weekend. It was the UKIPT Brighton Main Event. I was happy overall with the way I played. I always take a while to warm up but I felt really comfortable for most of Day 1, setting up a tight image, controlling pot sizes well with marginal hands and then making some well-timed bluff and semi-bluff raises, particularly on 4th street.
Been pretty quiet on the poker front for me since the Irish Open but I am playing the UKIPT Brighton Main Event - Day 1B this Friday. I'll be providing updates at the event by Twitter. It's my last event from the BOSP 2 fund, so hopefully I can make it a profitable one!!

It got a bit messy for me on Saturday night after watching the boxing with my mate Jez. I had a few beers with Nicky, a few other guys who were out, Marty and "the little fella", and also John Weafer whom I had met at the BOSP final.

Wow - so that was my first Irish Open - what an experience!!

Just back from a hastily arranged but very exciting business trip to Tokyo - my first ever visit to Asia. Tokyo is an amazing place - I couldn't believe the sheer scale of it.

I played the UKIPT Leg 2 at G Casino Manchester last weekend and achieved my 1st cash for Boylepoker, but it could have been even better.

Regular readers will know of my allergic reaction to KK and it happened again at the GUKPT Main Event in Bolton last weekend.

With the run up to Christmas and having three sons ranging from seven to 15, plus a real job to worry about, this is the first time I have had chance to reflect on the IPC in Galway.

My beloved Barrow played out of their skins the other night and murdered Oxford 3-1 to reach the 3rd round of the FA Cup, for the second year running.

Landed in Galway today ahead of the IPC which starts tomorrow and I write this as I am waiting for Ciaran and Padraig, who are on their way from Dublin.

So I make it to Dublin on Saturday by train, plane and automobile, accompanied by Salmon and PC.

What a couple of weeks!! It started Monday 16th Nov - the Monday before the BOSP II live final in Dublin and my travelling/drinking/poker buddy Chris Salmon appeared in front of the nation on ITV's 'Golden Balls', with Jasper Carrot.
