Well leg one of my three part tour is over. A nice week is a fair way to describe it. I really liked Vilamoura last time I was here and it was even nicer in the summer.
I heard there was a big gambler in the sports on Sunday night, so I decide to head in Monday night and see what the craic is. He sat into the 2/5 NL Hold'em game and made it €50 to go pre every hand. He started off sitting about €15k deep. I couldn't make a hand and was down about €1k in the game.

Well last weekend just went from bad to worse. On Friday, I was doing alright online until a disastrous period hit. I ran pretty bad, but certainly didn't minimise my losses and made some very poor decisions. I dropped $50k of the $60k I was up for the last 2 weeks.

Well, as planned, I put another €10k on Boylepoker with the full intention of abandoning the grinding approach.

Well, when I came back, I put about $7k on both Boylepoker and another site. The plan was to grind it up.

Well, I have started back slowly and haven't been really playing any long or grueling sessions. Played about 8 x 2/3 hours sessions so far, playing mainly 2/4, 3/6 and half stacking 5/10 PLO.

I'm back home and back to the grind. Got home Sunday morning and have just been running errands since then. I've also put in three sessions.

My view on poker is that it's my business and I try to run it like a business. The last blog was as such, a review of the business and an assessment of its ability to continue to be profitable.

Well, when I quit the job just over two years ago, the plan was to give poker a lash for two and a half years. I felt that even if it didn't work out, I could return to the work-force at 25 with a masters degree, leaving me in relatively good shape for the game they call life.

Well, busted the main. Played so well until my exit hand which I butchered and that was it! Now I'm heading on the piss for a few days. Will come back and do a proper review blog of Vegas in a few days but for now I am away to drink away my depression!

I made it back for my first day 2 of the WSOP in 3 attempts!!! Unfortunately I have less than what I started the day with, returning with a paltry 13,750 chips.

No good in the $5k/$10k PLO and also no good in the $1k PLO Hi-Lo RB in the Bellagio which cost me $5k.

Well, with the football sports bets I posted up on Friday going well (2 wins and a push), I decided to go for the guzzler on the rugby one.

One of the lads gave me his laptop the other day and left one of his accounts logged in. He had been out the night before and was quite hung-over, so I decided to transfer $80k out of his account and into one of the other lad's accounts which had none of the extra security features on it.

Well, three weeks into the WSOP marks the half way point of the series for me. So far it's been a pretty disappointing series.

My effort in the last two tournies could only be described as pathetic. Got a big stack in $1500 PLO and blew it just before the bubble in a horrible play. Not sure exactly how bad my performance was today in the $2500 PLO but it was bad.

Well the house has had its first WSOP final table. WD to Nick Heather who scooped a 4th in the $1k NLH for a cool $150k. Great old lift for all of us!

Well things started to pick up after my last blog. I went and cashed in a $1500 WSOP event. Made the money and then got it in for an average stack sized pot, with KK v AA, no suck out and I was out.

Played the $1k and donked off all my chips nice and quickly. I did manage to last longer than Chubs for four hands, although his exit was some what more respectable than mine.

Well at present, I'm sitting by the pool in our pretty slick gaff gettin well oiled with the boys, my girlfriend and her friends, en route to Ghost Bar in the Palms (life could be worse).

I haven't being playing much poker at all lately, apart from one little session where I dropped $5k online. For the most part, I have been sorting out or working on prop bets for the summer.

Well I made a complete balls of my bounty tournament on Boylepoker last night. The first 30 minutes was a rebuy, so I was just jamming it all in pre with any two preflop to try to build up a stack.

I'm pretty sure the last eight days have been my worst ever run in poker. Dropped about $60k over the last 10 days since I got back. It's all been done in $25/50 PLO.

Had a pretty cracking weekend and put everything on the back burner until it was over...
