So Luton didn't go so well, I busted after a few levels and then ended up going drinking for most of the weekend.
Well my new grinding idea hasn't quite gone to plan, I knew it wasn't going to be easy and today is the first day I have played in 10 days, due to the fact I have been busy researching the football leagues that are starting soon.

Once again, it has been a while since I have updated the blog. I've started off the year playing lots and losing lots online, and as the year has progressed I have played less and less.

Well, it's been a while since I updated here but as the New Year is well underway I thought I'd better do a quick review of 2010 and my plans for 2011.

Still in Vegas at the moment and it's pretty much all winding down. Everyone is leaving and there are only a few of us left here.

Been in Vegas a few weeks now and it has been pretty much break-even, despite winning a good chunk online.

Well, it's been a week since the FT of the Irish Open and I'm still thinking about what could have been. Getting to the final table of the biggest tourney in Ireland is obviously an achievement in itself and obv I would have been delighted with that at the start of the week, but I'm still pretty gutted about the way I went out.

Well the deadline has passed for completion of my challenge and I didn't quite get there, which I am a little disappointed with.

Another week of grinding it out. I played about 8k hands in the past seven days, including the weekend where I played very little due to too much sport on TV. I fancied a bit of time to relax away from the computer.

Things have been going pretty good for the past week, despite a bit of a set back over the weekend. I won the $20k gtd for $6k on Thursday night after multiple suck outs.

Well thank fuck for that, Christmas being over that is, as I never was a big fan of the whole thing and nothing has changed!

It's been a busy two weeks for me, which meant I got to play very little online. I went to Cork for the Christmas Festival two weeks ago and when I came home I went house-hunting for a place to move into.

Went to the Fitz last weekend and ended up running pretty bad in the two tourneys I played. In the EOM I was down to the last 25 or so, before running 88 into AA - and that was that.

Well, I played the ECOOP on Monday night and managed to get into the cash, after not really having a stack at any stage in the tourney. Managed to chip up nicely approaching the money and got a double with KK v 33, when there were about 20 places until the bubble.

Well, I came to the conclusion that the best way to complete this challenge would be to stick to MTTs, so after playing very little on Wednesday due to the Ireland game, I got back to action on Thursday night. Played a ton of tourneys and made a few small cashes. I ended up getting heads up in a 5k GTD and came 2nd for $775, so made a small profit on the night.

Once again it's been a while since my last blog, as I decided to go to Amsterdam for the Amsterdam Classic Festival and only decided to go the day before. I was there for nearly two weeks in total and it was a decent trip, although I never got much of a run in the tourneys at all.

All has been pretty quiet on the online front, haven't had the chance to put too many hours in due to several reasons.

All was looking well on my last blog, after getting off to a decent start I had moved onto 50/1 and was up to around $2700, when things took a turn for the worse.

Well my plan to get to 2k by Sunday night failed as I ended Sunday night with around 1750, still not too bad but a bit short of my target. I admit to making a mess of one tournament I was playing on Saturday evening which was a $20 f/o and in the middle of it I had to leave for about an hour so I shoved my last hand before I left and got a lucky double up so I got blinded away until I came back, not the best strategy but what can you do.

Apologies for not posting any updates since I started, but I haven't played that much yet and have been getting over a rather long weekend. I decided at the last minute to take a trip to Killarney due to the presence of a large field and numerous satellite winners, which always means good value.

So since I came back from Vegas I have been pretty much grinding online trying to pay for my rather expensive excursion. I've been running pretty good when I have been playing to be honest.
Paul had been on about a new challenge for me to do and he'd thought up of a few ideas but I didn't fancy the thoughts of going back to play $2 buy-in and 2c4c cash - I hope those days are long behind me. I then thought up this idea, so I can start at although still relative small scale stakes - still a somewhat meaningful amount of money at the beginning.

Well, after nearly three months living in America basically like a king and spending a small fortune I had decided that when I got home I would play online for a solid month and hope to cover my expenses for the trip, which I would be very happy with if I achieved it.

Well it has obviously been a long time since my last blog, which was just after I completed my multiplier challenge. Since then I can honestly say I haven't been playing too much for a variety of reasons.

On Thursday, I played the same tourneys again which didn't go to well. I never really got a run in any of them, but on the plus side, I was starting to run good in the cash games so I stuck to the $1-$2 games. I had a very profitable day and was stacking people left, right and centre.

On Tuesday I played some $1-$2 cash whilst using table selection to find the best tables and again playing between four and six. This was going ok and I managed to find a few guys who were more than happy to donate to my struggle. I decided that I would play three tournaments in the evening and I selected the $25k $10 rebuy, the $50 $7.5k deepstack and the $30 $7.5k deepstack.
I never really got going in the rebuy tournament but the cash games where going ok, even though I had cut my tables down and was only playing in the good value ones. There was near $1k overlay in both the deepstacks and I like these structures as their is lots of play at every stage of the tournament.
