15:20 May-king waves!

Jesse May,who I have a feeling the PR section of Boyles sport are rooting for has ridden a wave of hands and well times bluffs to increase his stack by almost 100k. He now has just under 200K. Jesse "The voice of poker" is showing he is well able to play poker not just commentate on it thus becoming an inspiration to us,the daydreaming bloggers! (by Sam Blaneham)

63 players left with the money at $700 dollars up to place number 45.

15:15 Nils Sweat

Nilz Mazeaud started the day on 256,500 and he has moved to over 600k in chips. He has just won 2 hands in a row, the second of which saw him call an all in with his QQ up against pocket 9's. He won 260,000 in that pot and things are looking bright for Mazeaud.

15:10 "Thank you dealer"

Jay Renehan was looking rather flustered over at Table 39. He found himself all-in with AT against Marcus Sippe's AK. The flop came: 7-3-2, the turn brought a 7 and the board paired again on the river with a 3 meaning both players chop the pot playing two pair with ace kickers! "Thank You, Dealer" were the only words from Jay, and he must have said that about 5 times!

15:05 Ready steady Bedi

Rupinder Bedi is chip leader sitting on Chip stack800k. It took just two hands for Rupinder to quadriuple his stack and the Englishman, who started the day as chip leader, is looking more than comfortable.

15:00 Ten on the flop wins the pot

James McManus has been looking for a deep run after his WSOP success. He's come close on many occasions and has come one step closer to one here after he gets his AT in preflop against his opponents AQ. The ten on the flop is good enough to see James reel in a 200k pot!

14:55 Another Bounty bites the dust

Some feature table action, Keith Herkins called Tony Flood with 77,000 all-in, Tony turned over spade_ace.gif diamond_jack.gif, Keith replied with pocket Kings. The flop came down club_ace.gif diamond_10.gif, the turn spade_5.gif and heart_ace.gif on the river, giving Tony set Aces. 79 players remain.

14:50 Spells disaster

FinalDay-007cropped.jpgJonathan Radot just won a massive pot with pocket Jacks. He gets it all-in against Mark Spelman who held pocket Tens. The flop is 9-2-5. Turn is an 8 and the river is enough to see Radot double up to over 380k, meaning he's one of the chipleaders that's emerged since the start of play. Mark was left crippled and exits the very next hand!

14:40 Break

Our remaining 88 players are leaving on a 15 minute break.Blinds are now 5-10k with a 500 running ante. The average stack is 156k. It is all to play for!

14:35 Poltor-axed!

Gerry Polorak came back for day three with a mere 30k. He managed to turn that into 160k before playing the huge pot with diamond_ace.gif diamond_king.gif against club_ace.gif diamond_queen.gif. Unfortunately for Gerry he could not dodge a queen and was left crippled with just under 20k. He could not repeat the trick of turning it into a stack again and leaves us in 90th place. (by Sam Baneham)

14:30 It must be the logo!

Cat O'Neill has been very active all day and has probably used up a few of her nine lives in the process! Seconds after I commented on how she's still in contention given the amount of chips on her table, she's all-in again! This time she found herself with two overcards in the form of A-T pitted against Michael Joseph's 77. After going all-in she throws her Sunderland Bounty card and Boyle's Badge into the pot. The whole room must be thinking there's something magic about the Boyle logo (and I'm sure Marty Smyth agrees) as the flop comes 4-A-T to the delight of Cat. The turn is also an Ace to give Cat the pot. Talk about overkill!

14:20 Arnold Ducasse Gone

Finding his stack getting shorted by the minute, Arnold Ducasse shoves in late position with K9 only to be called by pocket Jacks. The flop is 4-3-5, the turn is another 5 and the river is a 4. Arnold loses out and hits the rails in 98th

14:12 Some counts

Paul Smallwood is on a roll! He's amassed 240k chips now which is about twice the average. He first won a pot with JJ vs K7 to send a shortstacked player to the rails and then found QQ which held against pocket eights! Shane Dempsey looks to be our chipleader with over 300k, he told me that he won a big all-in with 88 when they held against AK. Rita Tensey looks to be our best performing lady with an average stack. Cat O'Neill is still in contention though as there's a lot of chips on her table! Down to 96 players now!

Douchin Takes a Bath

Michael Joseph is playing some strong poker. Kevin Douchin moved all in and got 2 callers. The pot was now 120,000. After a flop which saw J 6 4 Michael raised 45,000 and pushed the 3rd player off the pot. He turned over his pocket 5's against Kevin's AQ. The folding player shreiked when she saw the turn card as it was the 9 she was waiting on. Michael's aggressive style is standing him in good stead as he moves on to 350,000 in chips.

14:02 A change in the world order

Jessy May wryly observed as all the chips found there way to the French player Jeremy Veit. It was a case of overkill as his pocket aces improved to aces full on the river V Paul McDermott's unimproved heart_jack.gif heart_10.gif. Table 46 has a new chip leader!

13:57 Worried Schaaf

Thomas Schaaf was a player who looked very worried when I happened across his hand at the feature table. He had found a caller for his Pocket Kings and was up against AJ. His opponent wasn't just hopeful of hitting an ace, he was certain he was going to hit two jacks. Thomas looked very uncomfortable for someone who was in very good shape. Thankfully (for him) the board ran out 9-2-3 / 7 / 4 securing him enough to chips to be able to play some poker again. Currently down to 106 players. Next payout jump is at 100!

13:52 Cawley Busts!

Andy Cawley, the inspiration behind one of our most cringe inducing titles this weekend has been sent to the rail. Finding spade_ace.gif heart_jack.gif while short he happily shoved his chips towards the middle. Unfortunately there were two kings loitering next to act and no pointy characters on the board means we lose another.

13:48 Player down

cropped_Day2-511_craig_metcalfe.jpgCraig Metcalfe playing less than 100k moved in for the last of his chips. Damian Gregory holding heart_king.gif spade_king.gif acted behind him without much thought, moving his entire 250k into the middle. The big blind dwelled for a long time before mucking two tens. Craig holding the heart_queen.gif heart_9.gif was left with just backdoor draws on a ten high flop. No heart no picture meant Craig was drawing dead. Another one bites the dust. (by Sam Baneham)

13:42 Down to 113

Tiab Stephane just made a tough call on a diamond_jack.gif club_2.gif heart_8.gif - spade_5.gif board when his foe, Neil Rabbitte, pushed all-in for 3/4 pot. Tiab makes the call with JT which is ahead of Neil's 33. A nine on the river sends Neil to the rail and increases Tiab's stack to over 170k.

13:28 Stephen Coughlan bites the dust

Stephen, after taking a tough beat just after the resumption of play today leaves us in 123rd place. Left short as a result he moved his shortstack all in with club_queen.gif club_jack.gif only to be called by heart_king.gif heart_jack.gif. A king high flop was the last thing Stephen wanted to see and no miracles in the deck sees us lose another player.

13:32 His reputation Precedes him

cropped_Day2-507_paul_smallwood.jpgPaul Smallwood, the subject of much abuse from Dara O'Kearney on Friday, has just busted AA with his KQ. He gets it all-in pre-flop and picks up an open-ender on the flop which he duly hits on the turn, much to the dismay of his opponent who given who he was up against, really should have seen it coming! Paul is now back up to an averagestack! (by Sam Blaneham)

13:28 Hope springs Eternal

Nathan Raymond Hope has just knocked out Louis Laville in a battle of the blinds. Folded around to Louise in the small blind who moved in for just over 65k with the club_queen.gif club_2.gif. With just one player to get through he must have been hopeful of gaining a few chips,it was not to be however as Hope woke up with Ace King. The flop had something for everyone coming down a rollercoaster heart_ace.gif club_3.gif club_4.gif. A red ace on the turn only helped hope as did another brick on the river moving him over 140k. (by Sam Baneham)

13:12 Alan Irvine eliminated

Taking a bad beat hurts a little more now as we in inch towards the serious bucks! Alan could do now more than get his last 35k in chips in with diamond_queen.gif heart_queen.gif dominating the spade_ace.gif spade_queen.gif of Fabian Dupont. There was an ace in the window and a harmless club_4.gif on the turn and diamond_6.gif on the river lent no help to Alan who leaves us in early into Day Three. (by Sam Blaneham)

13:20

Peter Nolan was left with a mere Ante having lost a big pot the hand before. With action around the table the button limps only for Darragh Davey to shove all-in. The button folds and Darragh's Jacks are pitted against Peter's 5-3 off-suit. The flop is 7-T-6 and the turn is an 8 which gives Peter some light at the end of the tunnel but the 2 on the river means he finishes in 120th. (by Adam Murphy)

13:09 Majcher that

Two Queens weren't enough for Lional Majcher who needed to call upon the help of a third Queen when he went up against Tim Cullinane's Pocket Kings. He hit his Queen on the flop of 6-T-Q but there was no King willing to come to Tim's rescue on the turn or river meaning Majcher picks up a massive 140k pot! (by Adam Murphy)

13:04 Under my Spell-man

Mark Spellman just raised to 12k with KK prompting Rick Owbridge to go all in with 88 and 31.5k. Spellman called on a board of A29AQ. Rick is out of the tournament.

12:57 Cat O'Neill doubles up

cropped_Day1C-365_cat_oneil.jpgIt looked as if Cat O'Neill was going to be gifted a double up by Rupinder Bedi after he raised to 17k UTG and then calling Cat O'Neills 41k shove. Rupinder held heart_4.gif heart_6.gif which paled when put side-by-side with Cat's pocket Kings. The flop came out heart_5.gif QxJx which looked great for Cat but Rupinder hit the absolute gin card on the turn with the giving him a gutshot straight and flush draw! Suddenly it wasn't going to be a clean cut double-up but the 6 on the river ensures that Cat is back in contention with an average stack.

12:53 Close shave

Rupinder Bedi just doubled up Michael Joseph in a massive pot! Michael Joseph held AT while Rupinder held AK. Rupinder hit his king on the the 4-J-K flop, but the Queen on the turn brought broadway for Michael which sees him double up to over 250k. (by Adam Murphy)

12:50 Feelin for Whelan

cropped_Day1C-150th.jpgDavid Whelan has exited the tournament in 150th place. Whelan was all in before the flop with his pocket 8's against Marcus Sippe and his AK. Sippe hit running Kings on the river to take down the pot and moves to almost 90k in chips. The only consolation for Whelan is that, as he had a larger stack than Marty Smyth, he finishes in the money.

12:48 Prayers can't save Christian now

cropped_Day1C-first-all-in.jpgChristian Grace had a busy start to the morning. On the very first hand he doubled his small stack with an all in on J9. Two hands later though his luck deserted him and his A 10 as he was outdrawn by Nilz Mazeuad's KQ. Christian finishes in 149th.

12:45 Another player down

Action is coming thick and fast this morning with Xavier Dufrien being the latest casualty. His push with K4 ran into a caller from the blinds who had found an Ace. Down to 145 players already! (by Adam Murphy)

12:40 Bubble boy

Our Bubble Boy for the 2009 IPO is none other than Marty Smyth. Marty returned as the shortstack today and pushed his stack all-in at the first good opportunity. He held A8 with his opponent holding AK. Despite being dominated, Marty was confident of his club draw from the lone Ace. The flop came out club_queen.gif club_9.gif club_5.gif, the turn did indeed bring his club draw with the club_5.gif but unfortunately for Marty the river was a innocent looking deuce. Marty takes home a ticket to the Sunday Major on iPoker worth $320 courtesy of Boyles! (Two other players went out at the same time but have received pay outs.)

12:30 All in All in

We are only on the second hand and already you can hear calls of all in. Watch this space for the bubble.

12:25 Close Escape

The very first hand of the day sees the shortstack Christian Grace shove from late position only to be called by the chipleader Nils Mazeaud. It's spade_ace.gif spade_5.gif for Nils who's ahead of Christian's spade_jack.gif spade_9.gif. The flop is K-6-6. The turn brings a Ten but the river is a 9 which means Christian doubles up to 34k and survives for another bite at the cherry! (by Adam Murphy)

12:20 Chip leader

cropped_Day1C-356.jpgChip leader at the start of play is Rupinder Bedi (pictured) with 273,000 chips.

12:15 Stragglers

We have a few stragglers, but are almost ready for kick off. Enough time to tell you about today's side events. At 1pm there is a No Limit Hold'em tourney, 1 rebuy or add-on. At 4 we have a PLO, Double Chance event and at 6pm, a Round of Each NLHE & PLO, Double Chance.

11:34 Stupid o'clock

An early start for our final day players, with play expected to commence at 12 noon. Day 1B chip leader Nils Mazeaud is sitting pretty on 256,500 chips, closely followed by fellow Day 1B players Owen Mullan on 227,500 and Colum Campbell on 217,500 chips. From Day 1A we have England's Rupinder Bedi on 273,000, Shane Dempsey on 268,000 and Richard Ashby on 251,000.

We've got 151 players itching to get their hands on the top prize of $62,250.
