One of the lads gave me his laptop the other day and left one of his accounts logged in. He had been out the night before and was quite hung-over, so I decided to transfer $80k out of his account and into one of the other lad's accounts which had none of the extra security features on it.
Then I sat back and watched him sweat, as he tried to figure out whether he had done it drunk the night before or whether his account had been hacked. I reckoned there was an hour or two of craic in it for me.
He went to bed and I went out golfing. While I was out on the course I told another player about the prank and he asked would I not be worried the other account might get hacked and then I would be liable for the cash - somehow I hadn't thought of this!
I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a little bit worried. I got back after golf and found out there was construction work outside the house and they had cut the cable for the TV and internet, so it wouldn't be back online for two days. I couldn't take that much of a sweat, so the prank got exposed before it could "bloom". It kind of backfired, as I spent more time bricking it over losing $80k than he did.
Since I got back from San Diego I've exited 3 WSOP events. Nothing odd or interesting, just standard poker stuff. I've been golfing a bit lately. Played 27 good holes and 9 bad holes, so I think I will have a fighting chance v Spillane next Monday.
Since the poker has been so bad, I've decided to get bollix deep in the sports betting in an effort to make some money and it's going quite well so far this week.
Today will be make or break, as I have big bets on Brazil draw no bet 6/10, Ivory Coast +1.25 goals 1/1 and over 2.5 goals in Spain Chile at EVS. I know sweet FA about soccer betting between you and me but I am told these are good bets.
Got about $10k on each, so exciting morning for me ahead. Also, I have a big rugby bet this weekend backing Australia -10 v Ireland, think this should be about -15 so plenty of value at -10.
