Did my driving test yesterday. Obv failed. Things went down hill asap when I parked in a clamping spot. Walked out with the driving instructor. Sticker on window. I am full sure I am clamped but it was only a warning.
Then he asks me to open the bonnet, I hear boot, maybe it was just my dyslexia. After opening the boot he repeats bonnet. I jump in the car knowing the lever is around the steering wheel, after fiddling around for a while I take a punt on a random lever which f**ks up the steering wheel. Driving instructor arrives at my window and says, "you never opened the bonnet, did you". I was about to explain my dad does all that but with the silver spoon in my mouth I couldn't talk properly. Like, wtf? I wasn't looking to become a mechanic.
Basically lost half my stack in the first hand, but not for the first time. Test going gr8 until the late stage, I reckon I am home and dry (which I was) until I make a crazy move. One of those spots where you know the fish has middle pair and will call, but you risk your tourney life to make sure. It's a bitter sweet when you get called as you know your read was right but your out of the tourney. There's a van half on the curb and half on my side of the road. I am getting triple barrelled from oncoming traffic but there's half a gap. Will I, wont I, will I, f**k it I will. I sh1te you not, driving instructor curled up in a ball expecting impact, meh was worth the lol. There were 2 birds doing the test at the same time as me. Was great to see them both crying when I was walking in to get told I failed. Hes like, "I am afraid its not good news". Quickly obved him. "I assumed that when I nearly killed you". Got a lol out out of him which I was proud of as it was a similar achievement to getting blood out of a stone. Came home and won about $6/7k cheered me up no end.
The Kid had a Sit & Go for the Irish open last night. Me, Hali and Chub headed over to celebrate his expected victory and then went into town. Kid didn't let us down and hacked up the opposition. Then I took a shot at 50/100 with Hali with me driving. Was only $2,5k each $5k stack. We did do a horrible suck out but I think I played pretty well and got out for over $18k. Great to have some like Hali to sweat you in a game like that. He obv a lot better than me but I think I was somewhere close to his level of thinking. Passed 1 test yesterday at least.
Anyway off to Galway now. Think I am up about $40k for the week, no biggy.
