Well myself and Paul Coyle arrived on time in Las Vegas with no delayed flights or any of that carry on. The first thing that struck me was that the weather in Vegas was unusually mild. I didn't find myself dripping in sweat waiting for a taxi. The taxi driver informed us that it's been like this for the past few days.
Walking around has been actually quite enjoyable, as opposed to the usual feeling that you are in a sauna. The apartment we have rented is exactly what it said it would be. It's less than a 5 minute walk from the Rio which is great. Myself and Paul set out like we intend to continue (although that is a lot easier said than done in Vegas). We did a big shop that included plenty of fresh fruit and other healthy energy providing foods. This was followed by a gym session.
Its Paul's first time in Vegas so I gave him a tour of Rio. The poor little fella was wrecked after his trip and has now hit the hay. I'm sure it will be a good laugh reading back on this post in 4 weeks time, when I have fully degenerated into a drunken table games addict and insured Paul is the same. But at least this is evidence that my intentions were good, regardless of the outcome!
