Few new personal bests

11 May 2009 | Category: by: John O'Shea

Well, as I said I was going well on Friday up about $30k odd. I won another $5k on Friday and was talked into a night out. I think I had played about 60 hours for the week at that stage so I was able to justify a night off to the boss.

Ended up coming home at 8 am and decided to watch the Chiefs' game, as it had just started. While watching this I picked up another $6k off some fish at 10/20 HU PLO, but did $1,5k later in the day - so I'm ahead $40k odd at this point.

I spent most of Saturday watching rugby. In total over the weekend I had six rugby bets achieving 6/6, but went 0/2 on soccer bets. However, I still managed to pick up the guts of $8k. Most of my rugby bets come from my good friend Maurice O' Brien. I think I'm roughly 18/20 with him now, which is ridiculous. Obv there's good variance in there but even allowing for that, he is incredibly good.

I played the $500 PLO satty on Saturday, went first hand and then called it a night.
On Sunday I didn't play until 7 pm, where I had 5 tourneys targeted. I also took a piece of two other ppl in the €1 million tourney and that was on the worst site I have ever played on.

Bombed out of the four of the tourneys and did $3k in cash, so I was $5k behind and a further €2,700 if me or any of my horses didn't cash in on the €1 million tourney. I wanted a $50k week minimum, so I decided to make a big effort. Both horses cashed, which made me a little profit but the focus was firmly on me.

From about 300 out I was never outside the top 10 and eventually arrived at the ft. I came 5th for €35k or $47,500. That's a personal best for a cashing in on online tourney. $95kish is a personal best for profit in a week although kind of sick not to break $100k, fml etc.

I also got my 8km time down to 00:36:20 although I did that with relative ease and will be going lower later.

Anyway it's a new week, so time to get grinding!
