Finished both Monday and Tuesday very strongly, reversing $3k losses both days. In the end, I won $3k on each day, which is a nice result.
Been doing well on the Omaha Hi Lo for the past two days. I've been playing a $75/150 limit game mainly.
It's a strange contrast, as I would be one of the strongest Omaha Hi Lo players in the games, but my limit is very weak. I find myself clicking call far too much on the river, when I know I shouldn't. It's just so sick when you only have to be right one in ten times to be good, but in reality you're only good one in twenty.
Also, the old check raise isn't really a great move in limit, while it's the best move in no limit or pot limit. I think I have improved a lot in it and I am ahead in the game; I reckon if I tidy up a few aspects of my game, I could be a big winner in it. I just have to keep telling myself that all those big bets add up and 10 bad calls in a session is $1500, which is quite telling at the end.
Oh yeah, I also learned that the lone ranger bluff (holding the ace when a flush is out there and no other card of the suit) will never get through in limit.
I've been busy in the gym for the past few days and not feeling as much of a slob. I was up with the lads in Boyles today talking about a few of their new promotions. They have some pretty exciting stuff planned for 2010 on the site, but I am sure they will inform you all in good time.
