Well, with the football sports bets I posted up on Friday going well (2 wins and a push), I decided to go for the guzzler on the rugby one.
Had a big bet on Australia -10 and also got stuck into the spread markets. It was a pretty disastrous result, which saw €25k of my cash go up in smoke. I was still up €2k for the week's sports betting but I defo got well too deep into it.
I am going to have to get more professional about my sports betting. I have no doubt I can be extremely profitable in it, if I treat it like I do poker and run it like a business.
Need to exercise proper bank-roll management and more discipline with bet placement. Basically done with it now until September (start of new rugby Season). Although, I'm already putting some things in motion for the start of the new rugby season which will result in a more structured approach.
On the poker front things not going well either, no good in the $2,500 razz, PLO hi-lo $1,500 or $5k events. Back for day 2 of the $5k PLO but looking in bad shape, as I only have 7500 chips which equates to less than 10 big blinds.
It's mad to think I have been here over five weeks now. Only have 2 and possibly 3 WSOP events left. Been a pretty disappointing WSOP for me so far, it's really time to try kick into gear and save it.
