I'm out of a lot of tournaments

Been in Vegas for nearly two weeks now and have settled in nicely, and after a few loose nights out, it's down to business. The house makes such a difference for your overall sanity. It's nice to have the option to chill out away from the madness of Vegas in between the clown shows that are the WSOP tourneys.

Played five WSOP tourneys so far, with no cashes unfortunately. I'm not too disheartened though as the fields have been so soft and I feel I'm playing really well. Although, today's six-handed $1,500 was far from a soft table, probably the hardest starting table I've ever had. Sat down and sure wasn't it only the WSOP Main Event champion Joe Cada to my left.

To be honest I wasn't even positive it was him until he was saying how he's running pretty bad and the whole table erupted with "ohh we feel reeaaal sorry for you...". The rest of the table weren't too far behind either, with everyone playing pretty fast and after being re-raised four hands in a row, I shipped Unkown suit 9 Unkown suit 9 into Unkown suit J Unkown suit J and I was busto.

Reminds me of a funny line I heard the other day when someone was asked, "are you out of the tournament?". To which he replied, "I'm out of a lot of tournaments and yes, I'm out of this one". Sort of sums up the series pretty well, ya get knocked out of a tourney but it's not the end of the world, as there's another starting soon enough.

Ya gotta love some of the characters over here, one guy at my table couldn't stop telling me how privileged he was to be in the same tourney as Kid Poker, Daniel Negreanu. The funniest story I heard though, was a fella going round with his autograph book when he sees some guy signing a few autographs, so wanders over and gets one. After he gets the autograph, he asks someone else who it was and when he was told it was Durrr, he started going bananas.

I was sad to hear that Paul Spillane has left the helm at Boylepoker, so just a quick note to say it was a pleasure to deal with you Paul and best of luck with whatever you end up doing.

Finally, a quick GL to Nick "Salamanderrooo" Heather, who has made day three of the $1k. He's in the zone with a cash already, so hopefully he can take it down.

Did you forget about cashing in the $1,500 or don't they count any-more.
