Well at present, I'm sitting by the pool in our pretty slick gaff gettin well oiled with the boys, my girlfriend and her friends, en route to Ghost Bar in the Palms (life could be worse).
Been a pretty chilled out few days whilst we've been sorting ourselves out. I'm getting $165k out of my Bellagio account today and the magnitude of the task ahead of us has really hit me.
Seeing $165k in front of you is a good lol and certainly a long way from the first few times of coming to Vegas dreaming of a scoop and $10kish in the back pocket.
When me, Chub, Hali, Nick and Kid were walking along - with a few 100k between us - to get our safety deposit boxes at the Rio, there were no dreams of a scoop, rather how many FTs would be expected and the odds of a bracelet - with 5/1 being bandied about.
I am part of the best rolled, best prepared, most talented group of Irish players to ever grace Vegas. This kind of chat reminds me of the Irish Rugby World Cup team of 2007. We all heard they were best prepared, best............ and what a flop.
So it all starts Saturday and please God we won't flop. Off to the Palms gl.
One last thing, check out IPR show 52, my first show as co-host. It's broken all records, maybe I am good at it or maybe people like listen to my lisp and are laughing at me, either way it's all good!
