Well, I had a great Christmas in New York and an unreal New Year's Eve in Vegas. I fall in love with NYC every time I go - there's just something about that place. I guess I'll be using the auld, 'What happens in Vegas...' line.
It was a pretty crazy few days over there. It's like a zoo that place, and I'd swear I saw a rhino on one of the nights out.
Anyways, with all that fun and other activities, I've basically had two weeks off poker but that's going to change in a big way now. I'm currently in Vegas waiting for a flight to the Bahamas and PCA. The plan is to play about 4/5 tourneys and get out with loads of $$$$$$$$'s.
Everyone seems to do some sort of a year review and set goals for next year, so I suppose I'll do the same.
It was a great year for me. I passed my target goal by a good chunk and finished the last few months really strong. I really like Doke's (Dara O' Kearney) idea of setting two goals, one a realistic (sort of like a bottom line) and a more ambitious (dream world) type one. So I've set my own personal figure and hopefully I'll end up nearer the latter figure.
The thing that was sort of disappointing with '09 was the lack of live results. I basically haven't had a five figure live cash in nearly two years, which is a bit of a joke really. I think I'm playing as good as ever, but I guess that's just the nature of them. I'll keep playing as good as I can in the live events and hopefully get the rush of cards at the right time.
