It's been a busy two weeks for me, which meant I got to play very little online. I went to Cork for the Christmas Festival two weeks ago and when I came home I went house-hunting for a place to move into.
Luckily enough, I found a pretty sweet place, so looking forward to moving in there early next week. I then went to Galway for the IPC which was good fun, although I busted the first level on day 2, after getting through day 1 with a healthy stack. Unfortunately I ran into a monster hand and there wasn't much I could have done.
I ended up hitting a club on Saturday night and back to the hotel to play some drunken cash. Played right through 'til 5pm on Sunday. Went down to the hotel on Monday and decided to play the €250 event because I was pretty bored and not a big fan of railing live poker.
I ended up chopping the tourney heads up for €4k, so it got me a little profit on the trip. Wp to Padraig for taking down the main event, and also to Big Mick and Cat for final tabling.
Have only played a few hands of poker online lately and the account is at just over €7k. Although people might think that I've given up, I haven't. I just have a lot of other stuff happening, which means I can't put in the hours I want to.
I'm off to Belfast this weekend, to meet up with the guys that I went to uni with - so that should be a good laugh! Also taking in a Prodigy concert on Thursday night as well, which I've been looking forward to for months.
Should get a few days in next week before Christmas and then after the New Year, I'll have moved into the new crib and have no plans to go anywhere. It's going to be a tough month in January but if I stick to my plans of staying at home for the whole month, then it should still be a possibility.
