Time for a break

20 May 2009 | Category: by: John O'Shea

Well my run of ugly cards is continuing. It's only Wednesday and I am down the guts of $25k already. For once on a losing streak, I am happy enough with how I'm playing.

When you're running bad, a time out is sometimes the best option, so I'm going to take a break from online cash for about a week. One of my best mates just came back from a year away and he has a tennis court, so I'll do some hitting with him and play a bit of golf. Then I'll try a few ECOOP satties in the evening. Less than a week to go to it and I like to try to get into the bigger events for as cheap as I can.

Ran really good in the last ECOOP with a 1st, 5th and 20th from playing 9 events. I won the hi/lo last time and Boyles are putting on a pretty cool promotion for their players to have a piece of my action in the tournament this time around. Puts some nice pressure on me, but sure I am well able for it. It's a rebuy this time and I promise to leave the rebuy period with a good stack, so should give the people holding the % a good run for their money.

Did the 8km run there last night. Got under 35 minutes, did 34:52 so was happy enough. Going to try to kick on from here and the goal is to break 32 minutes by the end of the summer.
Going to head down to Celbridge tonight, I'll try to make it at least a minus $30k - maybe even $35k.

Leaving at the crack of dawn for Edinburgh on Friday so will let you know on Monday just how bad a week it was.
