Making a comeback!

13 August 2010 | Category: by: John O'Shea

Well, as planned, I put another €10k on Boylepoker with the full intention of abandoning the grinding approach.

So straight into 10/20 PLO I went, committing a few doggings and won a few k. Moving up levels seemed to be working, so the next day I jumped into some 25/50 with $2,500. After a few holds I exited the table with just short of $9k.

As a result of these 2 profitable sessions and a little bit more pilfering around the Boylepoker lobby (jumped into some 10/20 NLH for the first time in a long while and snaffled a few quid), I had recovered a little over $12k of the $13.5k I dropped last week. The games seem good on Boylepoker at the moment, so planning to grind away there for the next while.

As I mentioned in my last blog, I'm off to Castlebar for the grand opening of the Castle Card Club and going to play a bit of golf with Chris Dowling on the way down. Looking to avoid the beatings he regularly hands out to me on the golf course.

I did an interview with the Irish Daily Star about being a professional poker player during the week. I think it's out in tomorrow's paper. Of course they did some super cringe pictures of me which should be nice and embarrassing!
