Maybe next year.. again

18 July 2009 | Category: by: Rory Rees Brennan

Yet another World Series passes. I only played four events; two PLO ($5k and $10k) and two NLH ($1,5k and $10k Main Event) events. I felt I played more or less my best in all, bar the $5k PLO where I was probably a bit impatient and perhaps a little loose.

To cut a long story short, I didn't go far in the $10k PLO and more or less bubbled both the NLH events. All in all it was a very disappointing series for me but I've been getting whipped by Vegas ever since I turned 21, so I'm getting used to it now. Maybe one day I'll have my vengeance with minimum cash in a $1500 event or something.

Although the poker was pretty awful this year I quite enjoyed Vegas, outside of poker. There was a good crew of Irish players (real players) over there this year and lots of events were being played. I really thought there was going to be some deep runs but apart from Paddy's final table in the $1500, there was nothing to cheer about. Maybe next year eh...

Take it easy,

Reesy
