Well it's a bit of a mixed bag down here, I seem to be taking two steps forward then one back everyday. It kinda feels like I am going nowhere, but a small profit is being recorded.
Got it v some Moroccan fish for a €10k pot on a
board with
. The way the action had gone, I was like 200% sure I was good. Even more so with
on the river, which at the time I thought was overkill, but it wasn't really when he exposed

Played the main event like a complete fucking retard and was on my bicycle soon enough. As Tony G told me last time I was down here, it's a good place to get sent on your bicycle early, because the weather outside is very nice and it's a good country for cycling.
I took a nap before coming back to play a high roller satellite, in which I played badly at the start, but eventually found my groove, played some really good poker and ended up winning the ticket worth €9k.
Got that tomorrow, it will get fuck all runners but will be the biggest tournament buy-in I have ever played ($13,500). So going to chill out today and try to prepare for it.
This year I have made serious improvements in my tournament game, it really has come on leaps and bounds. I feel I have a really strong tournament game now, but sometimes I completely fail to bring it, in any shape or form.
This will be my last meaningful poker session of 2009, as I plan to take the rest of year off till the PCA (play a few online MTTs to knock rust off the game). Really want to end 09 on a high as it's has been a great year for me, despite the recent poor run.
I really should sell some of myself in this, as I was just thinking, between this and the PCA, I will be investing 25% of my bankroll in two tournament buy-ins, but fuck bankroll management, if I get a result in one of them, the bankroll will manage itself ;)

What have you done to improve your tournament game? Books? Vids?
