Frustration is the word of the week folks. Since Monday I've dropped back about a quarter of what I have won over the past 2 weeks (which was a fair bit). I know this isn't much of a swing, but they're big enough sums and I despise losing money - who doesn't right?
Anyway I did most of it on Boyles (iPoker network) and some on Cake. I took several shots at the $50-100 plo games and to say I was unsuccessful would be - well I don't know but I didn't win a f**** pot in it. I also ran awfully in $5-10 and $10-20 and came out behind on some HU battles with other pro's. I was always pretty disappointed that my play definitely slumped a bit a few times for short periods over the past few days - this is something I feel I have improved greatly on and I'm always pretty disgusted on reflection. Anyway I think I played decently all week and my luck just sucked, it happens.
Sorry about that bit of venting, but I really needed it. I know none of you want to read about my bad luck because for sure, I've had my fair share of good luck! I don't mean to moan too much because I believe that I'm a really lucky person, both in and out of poker and I'm genuinely thankful for everything I have. So sorry but when I run bad - I moan (just ask Oshy!!).
I'm writing this post with some anger still remaining actually. I stopped playing about 30 mins ago and when I was done, John was still playing so I said I'd run to the 7/11 and pick up a sick amount of sweets and chocolate to comfort us with our losses.
So I'm on the way there and this moped is driving toward me with two "girls" on it (two is usually the least amount of thai people you ever see on a moped - 3 is like the norm but I'm pretty sure I saw five before). They give me a good stare as they drive by and say something perverted in Thai. Of course I respond with "feck off I just lost like 100 million of your god damn currency". So of course they circle back to annoy me further and proceed to drive parallel to me as I drag my dejected ass to 7/11. After about 10 seconds of their lewd antics, I just stopped and gave them a sick death stare, which surprisingly didn't spur them on further and they got the message and drove off.
Anyway after some gorging of treats and chocolate and venting to you guys, I feel a bit better. It always takes me about 30 mins to an hour before I just don't care about really bad sessions anymore and I realise that everything I have (material and monetary wise) is from poker and that I have poker to thank for a hell of a lot.
Anyway, I just had to dump that out of my system. We're going to Koh Phi Phi in a few hours and I doubt they have good internet there, so I'll probably be out of action for a few days - which I'm happy enough about because I've been playing a fair bit recently. After that it's Phuket for a night or two then home!
