Part 2

Part two of my trip took me to Cannes, where I played the Partouche Poker €8,500 Main Event.

Never made a hand, despite being in the mood for playing some poker and exited the tournament late in the third level. Was the most disappointing tournament I have played in a long time. I went back to the hotel, chilled out and then decided to go for food.

The lock had jammed in the hotel room and given French people's extremely high levels of incompetence, it took them 7 hours to get the problem sorted. After 7 hours of planning, they finally came up with the tried and trusted 'axe to door' approach.

Had 10% of Dermot Blain to sweat in the main. He was flying until he got river for a monster pot that would not only assured him cashing but also a very deep run. Despite all this, I've really enjoyed my time in Cannes. It's definitely one of the nicest places I have ever been. The wealth here is sickening.

Managed to grind out a little online and won a little in sports betting, so it's not too bad. I'll try to remember to put a few rugby tips up this Friday.

Off to Morocco for the final leg of the trip. The tourney doesn't start there for another five days, so the girlfriend is coming down and we're going to go exploring a little. Think I made it out side the hotel/casino once on my last two visits, so it will be interesting to see what Morocco has to offer.
