My effort in the last two tournies could only be described as pathetic. Got a big stack in $1500 PLO and blew it just before the bubble in a horrible play. Not sure exactly how bad my performance was today in the $2500 PLO but it was bad.
However, I was drawing dead after last night - I did $35k in 25/50 PLO online after playing awfully. The $35k loss did come after winning $85k in the preceding three days. My swings since I have been here have been huge, with my average swing per day probably being $20k and few were over $50k.
I have come to the conclusion I can't play cash and tournaments. Going from making $10k decisions on rivers, to laying down hands for 500 chips in a tournament don't go hand in hand. So it's decision time, cash or tournaments?
Despite having a much better/profitable cash game than tournament, I am choosing tournaments. The big buy events are coming in the next week, so it's time to knuckle down and get my tournament game firing. Hope this increased focus will lead to some success.
I am winning a bit for the trip but performing well under par!

what about sleep and exercise on time away from tables :-)
In my wee small poker world i also find mixing cash and tourneys dont work
Good Luck with rest of your stay
