Ty Marty and Spillane, your goose is cooked!

28 August 2009 | Category: by: John O'Shea

The last 2 days have been pretty meh. Just grinding my losses back in the 75/150 Hi/Lo limit game with a reasonable degree of success. Probably breaking even now after my Monday blues.

Headed down to Celbridge for a game on Wednesday night. Fair play to the club as they have reduced their rake to make it one of the cheapest places in the country to play poker, while still offering the best service I have been subject to in an Irish cardroom.

Played golf with Marty Smyth and Paul Spillane yesterday.

I have a prop bet worth $2,500 with the pair that I will be able to beat Paul on a course of my choice in Las Vegas this summer. Ran him pretty close yesterday, so I reckon I'll be a complete lock on this one by the time summer comes around.

Going to head out Saturday night to Chubs' going away party. It should be a good laugh with plenty of the creeps on the guest list.

If any one fancies a beat this weekend I am going to back South Africa at -3 to beat Australia in the Tri-Nations. I hate backing away teams in rugby, but with SA their set pieces are so strong and the team is going so well, as opposed to Australia who are very weak at set pieces. Australia haven't won a game yet in this year's Tri Nations, leaving them with nothing left to play for.

The Warrior's naps for the weekend:

Cardiff @ 5/4
Bristol rovers @ 6/4
Cheltenham 7/5
Elgin @ 6/4
Boulogne @7/5
Hope there some winners here!
