Been in Vegas a few weeks now and it has been pretty much break-even, despite winning a good chunk online.
I've probably logged close to 100 hours playing online and been running pretty hot. Only played 3 WSOP events and went deep in one of the $1500 events, getting to the end of day 1 with about 20 or 30 off the money. Was pretty disappointed not to get the flag on the Hendon mob but I'll have another few shots before it all wraps up.
The World Cup has been pretty kind to me with most of my biggest bets landing comfortably and a few outright bets on Spain and Brazil looking ok at the minute. So I hope that continues and maybe will show a profit on the trip which is pretty hard out here with the expenses of accommodation, renting a car and going to clubs, which can sometimes be the most expensive.
Wp to Nick Heather on his $150k cash earlier in the series and getting a sponsorship deal as well. Hopefully some of the rest of the Irish can get a few more results like this and it could make for a decent series overall.
Really looking forward to the main event more than anything, as it allows a lot more play than the smaller events, as you don't get much of a chance to play much poker in the early stages, so you basically need to run good.
Next plan is to play the $1k at the weekend and see what happens after that.
