WD Nick - Boylepoker Blog

Well the house has had its first WSOP final table. WD to Nick Heather who scooped a 4th in the $1k NLH for a cool $150k. Great old lift for all of us!

Despite Doke and Parky taking a little pop at us on Doke's new radio show, we're all getting on great and morale is high (I gave a listen to the show and it's absolutely fucking SHITE).

I can see where Doke's bitterness is coming from, as he has tried desperately to get into a house with some Irish players but the general verdict seemed to be that people would rather grate their own nobs with a cheese grater, than share a house with that unbearable freak.

While my rant may seem a little out of the left field, he has been needling me non-stop for the last three months. I have been biting my tongue for long enough. Every time I pull the spineless coward up on it, he runs back into his little corner and apologizes, before plucking up the courage to repeat the process.

I'm going to offer this coward a poker challenge on the next IPR show I do and see whether he has any balls but my feeling is he will just took tail and run again. Lol at his pop at us in his latest blog, he might have to edit it (after Nick's 4th). Again like he did in another blog where he wrote some dribble about me that he took down before most people saw, as I threatened to expose the lies he has been spreading about himself in an effort to elevate his reputation above that of the lower stakes grinder that he is.

I'd like to offer him a side-bet for as much money as he would like - his WSOP picks against our house, which he seems to think are performing so badly. First PLO tomorrow should be fun, when the WSOP really starts for me.

as a small stakes player with big dreams I find all this depressing.
I play on and listen to all shows all although BOTH have their quirks its refreshing to have them to listen to.
We (and i mean the Irish poker playing community ) should be promoting the talent we have and showing the world that The Irish are a nation to be feared and not laughed at
There is room for 2 shows and a bit of friendly banter is great but when it comes down to personal insults it will only be to the detriment of all concerned.
It takes balls to play poker at levels you guys play at, but bigger balls to be a man about this shite ( sorry liz I have allocated you a set as well )
Please sort it in quiet
Just my opinion and I am not one bit interested in the gory details but in ppl getting on with lives and having some enjoyment.
question..Do you want to drive ppl away?
thats what gonna happen and in these days of lowering entrants to mtts and festivals we all are losers then

Listened to the show.. and it's quite amateur.. harsh yes.. as it is your first show..so give it time to develop

Think it's a bit low to needle someone if you otherwise wouldnt do it to their face.. especially when you know they'll hear it and you can't accept a comeback rant..

Ffs, I was just having a laugh on facebook with all the bitching going on and just saw it has got worse here. Its not doing Irish poker any good lads. Fuck each other out of it and get it off your chests in private. It should have been a blog about nick and positive vibes heading into the PLO events.

2bh Liz it really is and don't let anyone tell you other wise, but dont worry I am sure you will get better. Lol @ you calling me childish, I dont dispute the fact I am childish but your one of the few people who can out do me on that front. You One were the one loling to someone in our house about what was said on the show but look on the bright side I prob got show 10 times more listeners than it ever would of!

just to remind you john its not only daras show its mine too and as for it being shite well its not,theres more content in that show than any of the drool that ipr has to offer,im annoyed at your comments and theyre completely out of line,if you have an issue with dara take it up in your personal time and dont be so childish as to use it as a way of getting people to read your blog,whatever you two have going on id appreciate it if you would squabble amoungst yourselves and dont bring my show into it
