The Friday after my last blog was one of the worst days of my life, well on paper anyway. I had my worst day of poker ever, dropping about $17k.
I took a shot at a 
$25 - $50 game and did most of the money there. I wasn't planning on doing much on Friday night, but that changed after that session and I had a straight whiskey in the shower to get the ball rolling.
I ended up getting really pissed and had a great night (of what I can remember anyway). I did manage to lose my phone at the end of the night though. Got up then in the morning and my new laptop wouldn't turn on, fml. Basically everything that could've gone wrong, went wrong that day.
Strangely enough though I wasn't really that pissed off, shit happens in life, you just gotta roll with it sometimes. Still, had a great night and ended up going to Seattle on Sunday for another great night. It's a surprisingly nice place by the way, if you ever get the chance to go.
So it was back to the grind the following week and I've since got all that I lost back, and more, with last Friday going in my favour. It's really the make or break day for my week these days. The games are always best and I usually play higher as the bigger games are soft compared to midweek.
It's a countdown feeling at the minute though, a few of my mates have already left for home and I'm due to go back to Dublin at the end of the month. I've had an unbelievable year here in Vancouver and I'm really thinking about staying on until Christmas, well maybe. Although I change my mind every minute so I'll probably just head home for October. I'm thinking Oz in January for the Aussie Millions too, so coming home for a few months is probably the best option.
