You're in the deep south now boy!

Went down last night to play a 10/25 game but ended up in a 25/50, with a 100 straddle game and before long was in for $10k. Remembering of course that this is 30% of live bank roll for the trip; now that's bank roll management.

It was a very good game. I went ahead by $4k at one point but alas ended up losing $2,800. Still encouraging enough to see the standard of that game is quite low. I quit early enough because I was quite tired after traveling all day. As I said, the chat at the table is absolutely hilarious, here's just two examples.

A man's wife came up to chat to him for a while. As she was leaving, a few people tossed your man a few compliments about his wife, even though she wasn't much to look at (I thought she was a bit fat.)

Then your man goes, 'Yeah I like her a lot but she smokes'. Another guy pipes up 'And she's pregnant!!!!'. The husband replies, 'Yeah I know it's really bad'. So the advisor suggests, 'You should do something about it'. To which the husband replies 'Hell I tried everything, even beat the crap out of her'.

We all crack up, even though I am pretty confident he wasn't joking. The conversation reverts back to being serious. The advisor says, "You should tie her hands behind her back and lock her in the house for a week'.

I was in a pot with an old Greek lad and he pays me off $1k on the river. Another Greek pipes up from the other end of the table with, 'You're going to have to pick a lot of cotton to get that back'.

I did money online the other day, as well $6k ran pretty bad, so losing close to $10k for the week now. Dave Callaghan, Seamus and Dermot are arriving in today to give me some company.
