A few 6th places

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I was playing live every day for the past week in Portugal. The hotel didn't have wireless in the rooms (just the lobby) and if truth be told, I couldn't be arsed getting up early to do a blog.

I exited early in the main event after running up a stack. I did it in, in a crazy move but hey, God loves a trier. The move was uber sick. I spoke to Paddy O'Connor (cause we're friends) and Sorel Mizzi (he was at the table) about it after and they both thought it was a good play.

What do we do when we are knocked down? That's right, we get up again. So into the €1k PLO the next day I went, where I came 6th for €2,200.

The following day it was the €2k event where I final tabled, so I made it back for Day 2, but alas it was to be another sixth. Traded some % with Mick McCool who finished 3rd, which added another €1,200 to my own €8k result.

Kinda sick not to score half-decent in either. I went deep in the €1k NLH as well, but finished just outside the money. For just under €10k in buy-ins, I got just over €11k back.

Lost about €2,500 in the really juicy cash games over here, but couldn't log in too many hours due to my tournament efforts.

I won $8k online for the week, so I had about $4k to show for my week's effort.

I am off to Gran Canaria today for another series of tournaments. Staying there for seven days and have the ECOOPs every night this week on Boylepoker, so plenty of poker will be played.

Imagine I got a 4th!!!!!! Glad I am out of Ireland, as I seem to play my best poker in warm climates, so ya never know.
