Another month of giveaways with the best of the bunch being our Champion's League promotion. Basically the promo was a $1 freezeout with the winner receiving an all expenses paid trip for two - including flights, accommodation and two category 1 tickets - to the Champion's League final in Rome.
Emmet O'Leary won the prize and as a Man Utd fan he was very chuffed. I spoke to him upon his return and even though we couldn't fix the result for him, he said he had a fantastic time and even (like our Ciaran) managed to find places to get some booze in a dry city; you'll never beat the Irish!
In keeping with the spirit of giving away great prizes for small money our WSOP Fantasy League was (in my opinion; perhaps biased?) as good as they come. Why? It was free and the winner gets to have a spin in a £1,000 GUKPT event.
Speaking of the WSOP, probably the most publicity the site got in May was due to our betting markets and we have some serious liabilities running on one or two. My own favourite is the vs. Phil Ivey match bets which initially saw nothing but one way traffic, all AGAINST Ivey.
We eventually had to change our prices and of course saw money going the other way. As it stands, Ivey having a big WSOP is good news for Boylepoker and depending on how much we win - then possibly you! (If you're a customer).
During May, we also saw a week of Turbo Tournaments, which had added money and proved very popular; so popular in fact, that we will be doing another one in the near future.
Our blog viewer numbers increase month on month due to our great writers and hilarious heads up videos. May saw one of the poker world's finest writers Andy Ward start on a PLO/ECOOP challenge with a little help from one of the biggest online PLO winners and the current WSOP Champion. Check it out if you haven't already, especially if you want to learn from the best.
The Poker Show continues to entertain and again imho goes from strength to strength. There was no more exciting night than the release of the graders who are now freerolling their way to Vegas courtesy of BlackBeltPoker. The shows are all archived with a show summary should you want to catch up with what has been going on.
Now all eyes are on Vegas and this year's WSOP and strange as it sounds, wish Phil Ivey luck!
