Boylepoker.com pro John "doesalrite" O'Shea does it again, winning second ECOOP event in a week

John "doesalrite" O'Shea takes down $40,500 for winning in his second European Championship of Online Poker IV event; Boylepoker.com hosts bounty tournament this Thursday with 10% of O'Shea's winnings in the upcoming WSOP Omaha event up for grabs.

Boylepoker.com pro John "doesalrite" O'Shea completed his second incredible double in the space of a week on Saturday night, winning the $400 +$30 buy in pot-limit Omaha event at the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP).

Earlier in the week he won the ECOOP pot-limit Omaha hi-lo title for the second year in a row. He now adds $40,500 to his bankroll, having also taken home $25,000 for his victory in the Omaha hi-lo event.

"What a week!" said O'Shea. "To successfully defend my hi-lo title was something I never really thought could happen, it's such a long shot. But to do that and kick on and win a second ECOOP event is just staggering. I'm really happy to be hitting such a fine seam of form ahead of the World Series."

To celebrate O'Shea's victories Boylepoker.com will be holding a $10 +$1 no-limit hold'em bounty tournament on Thursday June 11 at 8 p.m. BST. The player who knocks O'Shea out will win a $530 token to the World Series of Poker mega satellite being held on the site on June 14.

Additionally the top three finishers in the event will win 5%, 3% and 2% respectively of any winnings O'Shea might accrue playing WSOP event 27 (June 12), the $5,000 buy in pot-limit Omaha Hi-Lo Split 8 or better.

When this event was last held in 2007 John Guth won $363,216. If similar numbers play in the event this year it means over $36,000 could be won by the top three finishers in this special promotion.

O'Shea's first double in the Omaha hi-lo event mirrored that of Thang Luu who last week won the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha hi-lo event at the World Series of Poker for the second year in a row. He beat 441 opponents in the hi-lo event and 282 in the pot-limit Omaha event.

O'Shea took down $65,500 for his two ECOOP victories and shares his success with four lucky Boylepoker.com online players who won a share of his future ECOOP winnings before the series started.

The players had a 15 percent slice of the action having placed first (5%), second (3%), and third (2%) and knocking O'Shea out of a special bounty tournament (5%) the night before O'Shea's improbable victory. They collected $9,825 between them.

O'Shea's feat marks a triumvirate of spectacular victories for Boylepoker pros over the last few months.

In December 2008 Marty Smyth won the Poker Million and Boylepoker player "mmcgenius" freerolled his way to $10,000 on back of Smyth's victory as 50 players shared 5 percent of his $1 million payday.

In April 2009 Peter Murphy successfully completed the Multiplier Challenge where he turned $100 to $10,000 in just nine weeks.

Last summer O'Shea came fifth in the World Series of Poker $2,500 no-limit hold'em event in Las Vegas.
