Well, I played the ECOOP on Monday night and managed to get into the cash, after not really having a stack at any stage in the tourney. Managed to chip up nicely approaching the money and got a double with KK v 33, when there were about 20 places until the bubble.
Then with 7 left to go, a guy raises the button and I jammed T8dd thinking, I had a huge amount of fold equity and also had him covered. However, he dwells, calls with A5 and holds - which leaves me in trouble. There were only 2 to go to get paid, I had
5500 and the blinds were
500-1000.
There is a raise to
2500 and a call - I have AK. I can't fold here, can I? Not a chance, so I shipped it in and get isolated by the original raiser who has ![]()
, Q hi flop and I'm thinking FML, but the ten turn gives me some help and the Jack river sealed the deal.
Managed to win a race then after I had cashed and was in good shape for once but some trappy fucker limped his SB with ![]()
and I jammed ace rag in the BB and I was fecked after that hand. Came 89th for $425, not bad I suppose but was hoping for the big score in that one.
I played a few other tourneys that night but had no joy in any of them at all. I also played about 500 hands at 1-2 NL and managed to win about $300. I think I was a small winner on the night because I had played some of the bigger buy-in tourneys.
Didn't play much on Tuesday night as I had things to do but I did log on after midnight to find a few incredibly juicy 1-2 NL games and so I played for a few hours. Won just over $1k which could have been a lot more but I was too tired to play on, so I decided to call it a night.
On Wednesday night I only played about 6 tourneys in total and a very small amount of cash. Busted from most of them early but managed to final table a $7 re-buy and ended up taking 6th place for $250, leaving my total balance at $6922. I'm pretty happy with my last week's grind. Seem to have a good edge in these MTT games, so I'll stick to them as I said previously.
Going to head to Dublin for a few nights and hopefully play some of the tourneys in the Fitz, then maybe head out Friday night!
