Murphy's Multiplier x2

I played a bit for the few days in the run up to Christmas and ended up winning a tourney for $3k, which was a nice Christmas bonus and well overdue imho.

The Christmas period was basically drinking, eating and sleeping. I didn't play a hand of poker from Christmas Eve, until I got back to my new place in Dublin last Sunday night. I got all my stuff moved down and we have the living room well set up for some potting.

I pretty much need a $30k winning month playing 2-4, 3-6 and maybe some 5-10 later in the month. The chances of reaching the target are pretty slim but I'm off the drink for a month and going to try to avoid live poker for the next four weeks, so that I can get stuck into making some money online.

I plan to play 60k hands this month and have already clocked up near 5.5k hands in the few days I have played. I'm winning $5k or more, so it's been a good start to the year.

The last time I played a few bigger buy-in MTT games and bubbled the 50k gtd, as well as the 12.5k gtd, which was pretty sick. This meant that cashing those earned an extra $500 but I wasn't shy on the bubble period, so I don't really mind.

Also cashed in the 7.5k and bubbled the FT in that, cashing for $90 after investing over $500 in tourneys. Still, I can't complain because the cash games have been going pretty good and my balance is at $14,700 at the end of play. So just 25k more to make it in 3 1/2 weeks.

Looking forward to the grind this month in the new house because I think with a few other people playing, it will make me want to play a lot more than I usually do - which I admit has been my main problem in the past.

Staying off the drink and away from the live poker scene for a few weeks will also do no harm, as I still think I have a chance of getting to the $40k but we we'll see! Anyway it's 6am and I need some sleep, will update you in a few days as to how I'm getting on.
